Lecture on “China's Business Environment, Entrepreneurship, Digital Transformation and Resilience of Enterprises” was successfully held in the Department of Human Resource Management

On the afternoon of November 13th, 2024, an academic lecture of the Department of Human Resource Management was held in the 110 classroom of Wen Return Building. The guest speaker of this lecture is Prof. Zhang Sanbao from Wuhan University, and the topic of the lecture is “China's Business Environment, Entrepreneurship, Digital Transformation and Resilience of Enterprises”. The lecture was co-organized by the Research Center for Talent Development and Organizational Development, the Institute of ESG and Sustainable Development, and the Leadership Research Center, and hosted by Professor Zhao Chenhui.



Professor Zhang first introduced the background of the research, pointing out that in the era of VUCA, organizational resilience has become a top priority for enterprise development. He emphasized the importance of digital transformation and proposed how to influence corporate pro-social behavior through the macro environment. Prof. Zhang then described his research methodology in detail, including sample screening, data sources and variable definitions. Immediately after, Professor Zhang shared the main findings of the study, including the positive impact of business environment on corporate digital transformation and organizational resilience, and the moderating role of CEO personality traits. Finally, Prof. Zhang summarized the theoretical significance and practical contributions of the study and proposed directions for future research.



During the interactive session, Prof. Zhang had a lively discussion with the students and faculty present. Prof. Zhang gave patient and in-depth answers to all the questions and encouraged the students to adopt innovative methods in their future research.
