In order to help the undergraduate 2021 students to recognize the employment situation and master the job-seeking skills, the School of Business Administration (SBA) held the undergraduate 2021 grade meeting and the mobilization of employment and career development in the afternoon of March 7th, 2024 in the South Lake Hall. Wen Xi, director of the university employment guidance service center, Wu Haitao, dean of SBA, Yu Xiaopeng, secretary of SBA, and Negati Aimaiti, deputy secretary of SBA, attended the meeting. Mr. Tu Pan, manager of Wuhan branch of Qihang Education, Mr. Wang Ya of Ustar Education, and Mr. Tan Xiaoyu, principal of Hubei branch of Wanxue Haiwen Examination and Research Institute, were invited as the guest speakers to give lectures on employment, study abroad, public examination, and examination and research. Counselors, class instructors and all students of 2021 undergraduates of SBA attended this meeting. The meeting was presided over by Ms. Yang Siqi, the counselor of 2021 undergraduate students of SBA.
The first item of the conference, Director Wen Xi made a speech on employment mobilization. Director Wen put forward three points of guidance and advice to students: first, to recognize the employment situation; second, to pay attention to employment information; third, to keep up with the transformation of the times. Director Wen hoped that students get ready for employment as early as possible and realize high-quality employment.
The second item of the conference, Prof. Wu Haitao, Dean of SBA, made a speech. Dean Wu emphasized that employment is an important work at present, and we should pay great attention to and solve the employment problem. He also put forward four hopes to the dreaming youths: First, they should correctly recognize the employment demand and set up ambitious ideals. Second, we should correctly view the employment situation and grasp the opportunities of the times. Third, we should set up the correct employment concept, break the traditional concepts of bondage. Fourth, we should continue to improve personal ability and refine a strong mind.
In the third stage of the conference, SBA carried out special lectures on the three types of employment directions that students were most concerned about. Mr. Tu Pan, General Manager of Wuhan Branch of Qihang Education, gave guidance on overseas study education to the students. Mr. Wang Ya from Ustar Education gave guidance on public examination application and preparation. Mr. Tan Xiaoyu from Haiwen Examination of Wanxue Education gave guidance to students on the current situation of the examination.
Finally, Ms. Liu Xiaojia, counselor of Undergraduate 2021, explained the work arrangement related to grade employment. Ms. Liu analyzed the specific data on the employment of previous graduates of SBA, urged everyone to think, act, plan ahead, maintain a positive and optimistic mindset, and looked forward to students' gains in their undergraduate years.
